Style. My style is bright and fresh, using two creative philosophies. I use fashion and style as a guide while I direct and compose a shoot for an editorial look. Another philosophy I have in mind while working is capturing the energy and raw emotion of candids, this is especially true with family sessions.
Location. While each session tends to take on its own unique personality, where you decide to hold your session will certainly influence the “feel” of your photographs. I will send you more detailed information on potential locations after you book with me, but generally our session will fall into one or more of these categories.
Michaelle’s Natural Light Studio. The studio is perfect for maternity, newborn, toddlers and young kiddos (5 and under only). With so many props and backgrounds it becomes difficult to move these on-location. If going to your home for a newborn session is a must for you, I can certainly do that for an additional fee to your regular session rate.
Your Home. Family sessions can be very candid and memorable in your home . Your home does not have to be ready for the magazines to be session-worthy. You’d be surprised by what can happen when we pull up the blinds and sit on the front porch.
Urban/Downtown. I love urban shots — think color, texture, lots of fun and a little bit of funk! Urban locations make for some really unique sessions. These are perfect for young families and especially fashionable for seniors.
Natural. Houston is filled with so many beautiful parks and natural country settings. Really, the possibilities here are endless…
